The Ledyard and Gales Ferry Fire Companies were dispatched along with American Ambulance to the area of Stoddards Wharf Rd. (Rt 214) and Whalehead Rd. for a MVA with possible entrapment.
Assistant Chief Willis arrived and confirmed one patient was pinned in the vehicle. Ledyard Engine 11 as well as Gales Ferry Engine 21 arrived simultaneously and went to work on stabilization and extrication. One patient was removed and transported with minor injuries to Backus Hospital in Norwich by American Ambulance.
