House Fire, Center Ave. in Norwalk

NORWALK, CT - The City of Norwalk Fire Department responded to a house fire on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 2:32 A.M. The fire was located at 10 Center Ave. in a two-and-a-half-story, multi-family house. The initial call reported a fire on the front porch.
Upon arrival, Truck 1 and Engine 1 encountered fire on the front porch extending up the front of the house on the first-floor. The fire was extinguished in 20 minutes by a first-alarm assignment consisting of three engines, two trucks, and one rescue; totaling 25 personnel.
The fire was contained to the front porch and the first-floor exterior. Minor smoke and heat damage was sustained on the first-floor of the house. Two occupants were home at the time of the fire and exited the home prior to fire department arrival.
There were no reported injuries to firefighters, and no reported injuries to civilians. The Norwalk Fire Marshal's Division is investigating the cause of the fire.
