WATERBURY, CT - On Monday, April 1st, just after 3:00 P.M., the Waterbury Fire Department was dispatched to 175 Grove Street for a house fire. Companies arrived with smoke pushing from the second-floor of a large two-and-a-half-story wood-frame occupied multiple dwelling and the working fire was declared. Crews stretched multiple hose lines to the second and third floors. Truck 2 horizontally vented windows while Truck 1 cut the roof. Command requested two additional engine companies for manpower and the Waterbury Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
