COLCHESTER, CT - At 1:08 A.M. on Wednesday, January 24th, the Colchester Fire Department with Gardner Lake, Bozrah Ladder 126 and the Yantic FAST were dispatched to 41 Reservoir Road for a house fire. Car 128 requested the second-alarm while responding due to reports of fire in the attic. This added Bozrah’s Engine & Tanker, Lebanon Engine 206 & Tanker 106, as well as Oakdale Tanker 43.
Engine 128 arrived at 1:25 A.M. with smoke showing from the gables. The crew stretched a one-and-three-quarter-inch hose line through the back door and used the attic access to quickly knock the fire. Tanker 127 arrived second and nursed the first due engine.
Engine 228 overhauled while Tanker 128 and crews from Bozrah staged out front. The Mohegan Tribal Fire Department was added as the second FAST and the Colchester’s Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating. Marlborough covered Colchester Fire Headquarters and East Hampton covered Westchester.
