Car Snaps Utility Pole and Rolls Over

At 3:09 pm on Monday, 12/30/2024 the Salem & Gardner Lake Fire Departments with an American Ambulance Paramedic and the CT State Police were dispatched to the area of 302 Old Colchester Road for a car that struck a utility pole and rolled over. Ambulance 527 arrived at 3:17 reporting a car on it’s side and that the operator had self extricated.
Ambulance 527 began patient care while Engine 121 and Rescue 127 shut the road down and applied absorbent pads for the fluid that was leaking. Eversource remained on scene for a couple hours replacing the pole.
