Christmas Day Flooding Along the Hudson River

Several inches of rainfall combined with several feet of snowmelt caused flooding around much of the region.
Fire departments all over the area have been responding to numerous calls to assist with basement pumpouts since the early hours of the morning Christmas Day.
The Hudson River could be seen flooding the area at the Henry Hudson Park in Selkirk and at the Coeymans Landing.
Water was flowing rapdily under the Route 144 overpass in Coeymans.
Roads were flooded and impassible in some areas, including Route 143 in Coeymans Hollow, as well as Miller Road in the Ravena/Coeymans area.
Miller Road had several feet of water and the water level was to the bottom of street signs in the area of Miller Road at 9W.
