NORWICH, CT - At 12:27 A.M. on November 16th, the Norwich FD with Laurel Hill Engine 62, East Great Plain Ladder 5 & Rescue 5 with the Mohegan Tribal FAST, were dispatched to 76 Laurel Hill Avenue for a house fire. Battalion 1 arrived at 12:31 A.M. with fire showing from the rear of the second-floor extending to the attic. Engine 3 positioned on Summer Street and took a one-and-three-quarter-inch hose line up the interior stairs in the rear. They advanced into the second-floor while Squad A established the water supply and stretched an exterior line. Engine 2 stretched a line through the front and extinguished fire in the attic. Truck 1 searched and vented. Engine 62 and Ladder 5 assisted with overhaul. American Ambulance provided a stand by crew and the Norwich Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
