NORWALK, CT - On November 11th, Norwalk Fire responded to a house fire on 18 Sasqua Rd. This was a newly purchased three-story 7,000-sq.-ft. home.
Arriving firefighters were met with heavy fire, and the fire had already burned through the roof. The fire took approximately one hour to knock down. There was no one home at the time, and no reported injuries.
Stamford FD helped at the fire scene, while surrounding towns covered our stations. Due to a low volume water supply in that area, we activated Stamford’s Tanker Task Force to supplement.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The home is posted unfit for occupancy.
