On Saturday, October 19th 2024, the Hicksville Fire Department hosted a fire prevention open house. The event ran from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Hicksville Fire Department Station 3. The event featured a wide spread of fire/ems equipment on display. Members of the department orchestrated a vehicle extrication demonstration and a live burn demonstration . The Nassau County Fire Marshals Office and New York State Troopers were in attendance. The open house was an excellent opportunity for the community to learn about the emergency services the Hicksville Fire Department provides to each member of the community.
