Houston County, GA - Robins AFB Firefighters recently conducted a confined space rescue exercise on rescue & packaging a victim for removal from a storm drain. Crews set up the Arizona Vortex system, then lowered two firefighters down into the storm drain to rescue a patient with injuries. Once the two firefighters reached the patient they stabilized and packaged the manikin, and crews raised the rescue crew and patient out of the drain. UMS medics then took over patient care & the exercise was terminated.
