Coordinated Response Aids Rescue Following Side-by-Side Crash

At 3:32 p.m. on July 7, Lee Fire Rescue and the Mattawamkeag Fire Department responded to a reported side-by-side collision in Kingman's Park Street neighborhood.


Responders discovered a seriously injured occupant trapped beneath the utility vehicle. After being swiftly extricated by firefighters, the patient was taken to a landing zone by Lee Rescue and then transferred to LifeFlight of Maine for hospital transportation.


For their coordinated reaction to the situation, Lee Fire Rescue expressed gratitude to the Penobscot Regional Communications Center, Mattawamkeag Fire Department, LifeFlight of Maine, the Maine Warden Service, and the Maine State Police.
