Mutual Aid Response to Lightning-Related Smoke Condition in Surry

Orland, ME - The Orland Fire Department responded on mutual aid to a reported smoke condition in a residence on Toddy Pond Road in Surry following a lightning strike. Engine 511, Rescue 581, and additional personnel in personal vehicles responded to the scene.


Upon arrival, Orland personnel assisted with ventilation operations and provided backup water supply for the primary engine, supporting crews as they worked to address the situation and ensure the structure was safe.


Units remained on scene until operations were brought under control and were later released, returning to service.
