Car Crashes into Pole and Drive Flees in Mastic Beach

Mastic Beach, N.Y.- On Friday May 10, 2024, at about 12:39 PM the Mastic Beach Fire Department and Mastic Beach Ambulance were activated for a vehicle Crash at neighboring Rd. and Hemlock Dr. First to arrive on scene was Commissioner Bill Biondi {5-13-99}. On arrival the Commissioner advised dispatch and incoming units that he had a vehicle crashed into a pole, No one was trapped, and it was reported that the driver and any other occupants had fled from the scene.
Rescue truck 5-13-4 responded in to the scene and the crew placed down Speedy Dry down to clean up fluids. They also secured the vehicle. EMS units were dismissed quickly since no patient was found. The scene was turned over to Suffolk Police 7th precinct officers and all FD and EMS units were back in service in under 30 minutes.
