NEW BRITAIN, CT - One person died in a house fire at 468 Stanley Street in New Britain on May 29th. Firefighters arrived on scene just before 8:00 A.M., with heavy fire showing from the rear of the three-story home with reports of one person trapped inside. A second-alarm was quickly called in. The fire extended up from the second floor and into the third floor and attic before firefighters knocked it down, holding it to the rear of the building. The West Hartford and Hartford Fire Departments provided station coverage. The cause is under investigation.
