PARAMUS, NJ - A mid-afternoon fire erupted in a Paramus home on May 10th, but thanks to firefighters, most of the structure received minimal damage. Heavy fire was venting out of windows on the 'A' and 'B' sides of the second floor of the two-and-a-half story frame dwelling as they arrived. A second-alarm was transmitted, bringing units from Oradell and Ridgewood to the scene. Lines were stretched inside and the roof was laddered. Some clutter conditions hampered members, but soon the fire room was accessed and water was put on the fire. The flames were able to be contained to the room of origin. No injuries were reported.
