For the past 17 years, my son James Wood, Jr., has played the Leprechaun at the Wallington Engine Co. 202. Saint Patrick' s day party. What started as "you are the probie here and you are doing this” became a tradition that caused him to make some good friends and memories each year with the Bergen County Firefighters Pipe Band. Over the years, they let him join in playing the bass drum and dancing around as the Leprechaun. He became to appreciate it and the guys letting him play and get involved with the band when they come to play. (James Wood, Jr. pictured in the middle.)
