Fatal Truck Vs. Tree MVA on Rock Cut Rd. in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - Orange Lake FD responded to a serious one-vehicle MVA at 548 Rock Cut Road, February 11th. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS also responded to the scene. On arrival a pickup truck was found to have crashed into a tree with three occupants seriously injured, and EMS requested a MedEvac launched. Winona Lake FD set up a landing zone at the Orange Lake Motel where one of the passengers, identified as 49-year-old Brian Fowler from Modena, was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The driver and other passenger were extricated from the pickup and treated on scene before being transported to Montefiore/St. Luke's Hospital. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the fatal accident.
