Mastic Beach NY- On January 28th at about 6:27 PM the Mastic Beach Fire Department and Mastic Beach Ambulance were activated for a report of Structure fire on Woodland Dr Between Aspen Rd & Neighborhood rd.
2nd Assistant Chief Luis Grego was the first to respond. Firecom advised Chief Grego that the report was for a kitchen fire. The fire appeared to be extinguished prior to arrival. Tanker 5-13-2 got on the road momentarily and the crew was advised to stretch a line to the rear of the structure and bring tools and a camera with them to check for extension. They were joined by a crew from 5-13-3. Crews checked and were able to make sure the fire was completely out. However there was no power to the home due to the fire so PSEG was requested. The fire Marshal was notified as well. No injuries were reported.
