The Mitchell Fire Co in Burlington City, New Jersey finally received their new Engine today. Its a 2010 Ferrara Ember, 400hp Cummins, 2000gpm Hale, 500 gal water About a year or two ago, what started off as just a conversation between line officers from the Mitchell Fire Co and the Chief of the Department about applying for a FEMA grant to replace two aging trucks became reality. The officers also decided that they would try for two grants, one for a vehicle and another for new gear department wide. Officers of the Mitchell Fire Company began to aggressively put their ideas on paper and draw up basic specs for a realistic pumper that would replace the Mitchell's current 1978 Hahn and a hand-me down engine from another closed down firehouse. Soon the word was given that their ideas had paid off and that the grants were to be awarded. Congratulations to the Officers and Members of the Mitchell Fire Co that made this all possible.
