NEWBURGH, NY - Orange Lake FD responded to a head-on MVA with entrapment on State Route 52 in the area of Whisper Lane on February 2nd. Firefighters arrived and found a driver trapped in their vehicle. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were at the scene. State Route 52 was shut down during the incident. Town of Newburgh EMS transported both drivers to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital. Firefighters spread speedy dry on fluids on the roadway. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause.
