At 1:05pm December 28th, Perkiomen Township Fire Company Station 66 volunteers were dispatched as mutual aid to assist Lower Frederick Fire Company for a report of a non-commercial building fire on Gerloff Rd in Lower Frederick Twp. First arriving crews were met with heavy fire throughout the entire structure. Tanker 66 and Air 66 responded to the scene while Engine 66 and Pipeline 66 established two fill sites for tanker shuttle operations. The Tanker 66 crew also provided manpower at the scene. There were 14 different tankers involved in this incident. Air 66 filled air cylinders for firefighters. This incident is under investigation by the PA State Police Fire Marshal. Perkiomen Township volunteers were in service for over 4 hours.
