At 4:12 pm, the Limerick Fire Department was dispatched to assist Lower Pottsgrove with a report of a porch fire with wires down in the area of Pruss Hill Rd and Schaffer Rd. Initially, the structure was unfounded in the intersection but after searching the area, crews found the correct area at the Schaffer Rd intersection in New Hanover. Engine 51 and Battalion 51 responded along with units from Sanatoga, Ringing Hill, and New Hanover. A power issue occurred throughout multiple homes in the area. PECO was advised of the issue. Limerick crews were made available within the hour.
