MIDDLE HOPE, NY - Middle Hope FD responded to a tractor-trailer/vehicle MVA with ejection in the area of 5453 State Route 9W on January 22nd. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were at the scene. Town of Newburgh EMS requested a MedEvac for the driver of the vehicle, but later the request was canceled. Town of Newburgh EMS transported one subject to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital. State Route 9W was closed between Old Post Road and Cortland Drive during the incident. Town of Newburgh ID Unit was requested to the scene for photos. Both vehicles were impounded by Town of Newburgh Police. New York State Police also assisted at the scene. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause.
