Englewood Battles a Second-Alarm

ENGLEWOOD, NJ - Shortly before 10:30 P.M. on December 29, 2024, Englewood units were dispatched to 494 Orchard St. for a report by the resident that their boiler was on fire. On arrival, the response was upgraded to a working fire. Heavy smoke was throughout the two-and-a-half-story frame dwelling as two lines were stretched. A second-alarm was transmitted for overhaul and ventilation. A department recall was issued, as well as mutual aid from surrounding departments. No injuries were reported, and two cats were reported to have been successfully removed.
