It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elisabeth (Lisa) Barringer-Cook, a beloved member of our Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services family. She served for five years with the Fulton County Fire Department before joining us as a Firefighter Paramedic in 2017. She spent most of her career in the 2nd Battalion at Station 5. In 2022, she transitioned into a Community Paramedicine role with the Cobb CARES unit. She was selected for a position as a Fire Inspector in the Cobb County Fire Marshal’s Office in 2023, where she served until her passing. Lisa dedicated her life to serving our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment. Her legacy of selflessness and bravery will forever be remembered, and her loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her.
