On Sunday, October 6th, in Ross Township, the Sweet Valley FD, along with Geisinger EMS, were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 118 for a one-car MVA with 1 patient unresponsive. When units arrived, 2 helicopters were dispatched to the accident. One helicopter was canceled due to one patient being deceased, and the second patient was flown to the closest hospital with a level 1 trauma unit. The crash is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
