Green Creek is an unincorporated community located within Middle Township, in Cape May County. It is a very low-lying area with the highest elevation of just above 20-feet. The community is located about 3-miles west of Rio Grande and about 2-miles from the Delaware Bay. It is mostly residential with areas of agriculture and commerce along the main road, Delsea Drive, which is Route 47. The Green Creek Fire Company provides fire and rescue services for Green Creek and Del Haven sections. Middle Township is comprised of 5 fire companies; Green Creek is Fire District #3 and was founded in 1947. It provides fire protection and emergency response, and in addition to responding to fires the Green Creek Volunteer Fire Company 3 also responds to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls, and incidents involving hazardous materials. The firehouse is located on Bayshore Drive and houses Engine 73, a 2018 Pierce Enforcer 1500/750; Utility 73-10, a 1997 Ford F250 4X4; Brush 73-21, a 1996 Hummer/AM General 250/250; Rescue Engine 73-33, a 2006 Pierce Quantum 1500/750; Tanker 73-44, a 2001 Pierce Quantum 2000/2500; Tanker 73-45, a 1995 Peterbilt/Walker 1500/4000; and Storm 73-97, a 1995 Kiser 2.5 ton.
