2-Alarm Fire destroys homes in Belmar NJ

On April 13, 2025 just after 6:00 am, Belmar Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 block of 13th Avenue for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters were confronted with heavy fire conditions from two private dwellings with exposure. A 2nd alarm was transmitted bringing firefighters from neighboring fire departments. Firefighters battled the blaze for over 2 hours. There were no injuries. The fire is under investigation.
