On January 23rd at 11:40 am Macungie EMS and the Lower Macungie Fire Department were dispatched for an accident with injuries and fire at the intersection of East Texas road and Brookside road in Lower Macungie Township. Deputy 30-1 arrived on the scene and confirmed that there was no fire but spill control and traffic control were needed at the scene. Rescue Engine 80 arrived on the scene and did spill control and secured the vehicles.
