Today, Health First is pleased to announce that Health First is planning to expand it’s First Flight air ambulance program by adding a second full-time helicopter and flight team to be based in the Northern tier of Brevard County, Florida. Currently, First Flight operates one full-time chopper and crew, based at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport covering all of Brevard and northern Indian River County. The expanded presence will dedicate a chopper and team to the northern part of the county, and a second for the southern tier.

?First Flight has served as the primary helicopter ambulance service for Brevard County and northern Indian River County for over 35 years, responding to multiple calls each day. As the number of calls increase, Health First is also doubling its air fleet to meet the anticipated growth of emergency and trauma needs.
