BROOKLYN, CT - At 5:58 P.M. on Wednesday, November 2nd, the East Brooklyn Fire Department with mutual aid from Mortlake, Danielson ET-161, South Killingly ET-165, Atwood and Williamsville FAST were dispatched to 20 Fairway Drive for a structure fire. Car 592 arrived at 6:03 P.M. reporting a well involved two-bay attached garage spreading into the home.
ET-161 arrived at 6:05 P.M., laying their own supply line from a hydrant and led off with the deck gun. Firefighters then stretched a two-and-a-half inch hose line to the front of the garage and a one-and-three-quarter inch hose line through the front door of the home. Ladder 190 set up on the 'Alpha/Bravo' corner and flew their stick to the roof. Dayville Engine 163 was added for overhaul.
Crews made a good stop before the fire significantly extended into the home. The Brooklyn Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
