3rd Alarm Struck at Staten Island Church Fire

STATEN ISLAND, NY - Firefighters were dispatched on October 8th at 7:05 P.M. to 1174 Castleton Ave., a three-story church named Full Gospel Tabernacle. On arrival crews found heavy fire on the third-floor and the attic of the 50'x60' structure. Three hand lines were stretched and operating with Ladder 79's stang put into operation in front of the fire building. This was an exterior operation, with the fire placed probably will hold at 8:52 P.M. A 10:41-1 was transmitted as a suspicious fire.
