SALISBURY TWP., PA - On October 10th at 3:24 A.M., Station 33 was dispatched to assist Lancaster Station 49 (White Horse) for a barn fire on the 5000 block of Meadville Road, in Salisbury Township. First arriving units from 49 found a large, two-story dairy barn that was fully involved, and requested the 2nd alarm assignment. Engine 33-5 arrived as the second due engine, picked up the LDH from Engine 49-1 and immediately assisted with fire suppression. Rescue 33 arrived and also assisted with fire suppression along with opening up. Engine 33-1 took the water supply assignment, hitting the dry hydrant on Red Hill Road, supplying water for the fire ground.
