Fully Involved Blaze Destroys Home in Richmond

RICHMOND, NY - Around 7:30 P.M., on Monday, October 7th, Richmond and Bristol firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at 4274 Reed Road in the town of Richmond.


First arriving units found a single-story home fully involved in flames. A full response was requested from Hemlock, a FAST team from Livonia, as well as additional tankers from Ionia and West Bloomfield fire departments.


One occupant was able to safely evacuate the structure. The blaze was brought under control in about an hour. There were no injuries reported. Officials from Ontario County Emergency Management were investigating the cause.
