Mutual Aid Crews Supported Cattaraugus Fire Response

Cattaraugus, N.Y. — August 6 — Several local agencies provided mutual aid to the Cattaraugus Volunteer Fire Department during a structure fire. Conewango, Dayton, East Otto, Little Valley, Leon, Otto, Salamanca, South Dayton, and Gowanda were among the departments that provided assistance. The response was also assisted by CATTFIT, the district coordinator, and Cattaraugus Area Ambulance Service.


Responding teams received further assistance from the Cattaraugus Firemen's Club, Perkys, and Cattaraugus Auxiliary. More people and resources were brought to the scene by the mutual-aid response. To assist with managing the call and supporting fireground operations, local departments collaborated. After operations were completed, crews concluded their tasks and removed the area.
