Danbury, CT - The Danbury Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle fire on Chestnut Street, with Engine 23 and additional companies arriving to find a vehicle actively burning.

Crews quickly stretched a handline and initiated an aggressive fire attack, bringing the fire under control in a short amount of time and preventing extension to nearby exposures. Firefighters remained on scene to complete overhaul operations and ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

No injuries were reported during the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
