NEWBURGH, NY - City of Newburgh firefighters were dispatched to 517 South Street just before 7:00 P.M. on July 30th for a reported structure fire. On arrival crews found heavy fire in the basement that extended up to the attic. A second-alarm was sounded, bringing multiple mutual aid department to the scene. Three firefighters were reportedly injured on scene and transported to St. Luke's/Montefiore Hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
