Royersford, PA - On the evening of Thursday July 30, Royersford Fire crews were participating in a work detail at their main station when they heard a crash. Upon investigation they found that a pickup truck had struck the nearby Royersford Borough Hall on Main St. The striking vehicle suffered significant damage as well as knocked the gas meter off of the building.
A crew from PECO Energy responded to repair the meter which required a closure of 3rd Avenue for the evening as meter was broken below the sidewalk level.
Royersford Borough Police are investigating the cause of the accident. The driver was transported to a nearby by Friendship Ambulance.
