On July 6, the Alloway Township Fire Company was called to a garage fire on Watsons Mill Road.

While Rescue Engine 19-9 and Rescue Engine 16-9 simultaneously arrived at the scene and deployed several handlines to limit the fire, Chief 19-10 arrived to confirm a working fire. Mutual aid organizations helped with overhaul operations, fire suppression, and water delivery. For around three hours, crews stayed on the scene.

The event was Rescue Engine 19-9's first operational fire since it was put into service less than a month prior. The Bridgeton Fire Department Bureau of Fire Prevention is still looking into the fire.
