Bridgewater, N.J. — July 1 — In the afternoon, the Finderne Fire Department responded to an overturned car near Exit 13 on Interstate 287 northbound. After being sent, Deputy 30, Assistant 30, Engine 302, and Rescue 30 collaborated with the local EMS and law police to handle the situation. Before emergency personnel could arrive, the lone occupant of the car safely self-extricated and was unharmed.
While the road was cleared, firefighters helped with scene safety, secured the car, and looked for fuel leaks and other dangers. After the event was under control, the coordinated reaction allowed traffic to safely continue while also protecting responders and drivers.
