Tivoli Firefighters Use Drone to Locate Railroad Fire

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On July 5, as strong storms passed across the area, the Tivoli Fire Department responded to a fire along train tracks.

The fire, which was blazing between two railroad bridges in a location with restricted access, was swiftly located by firefighters using the department's drone. After train travel was briefly stopped for safety, crews used hose lines to cross the tracks, established a water supply from the neighboring bay, and navigated flooded sections of Cruger Island Road.
