Ayer, MA - On July 9th, firefighters were dispatched to Washington St. for smoke in the building from a lightning strike. The Chief of Department arrived on scene and reported fire showing from the attic in the rear of the multiple dwelling. Command struck a working fire bringing mutual aid to the scene and to cover the town. Companies made an aggressive interior attack and had the fire knocked down in a short amount of time.
