On June 15, the Freetown Fire Department was called to a motorcycle accident in the Freetown State Forest following a report of an injured rider close to "The Ledge."
Freetown ambulances and the department's duty staff were already assigned to other medical crises when the call was sent out just before 7 p.m. The patient was located with the assistance of Freetown Police, treated on the spot, and then removed from the forest using UTV 2.
Berkley Fire & Rescue moved the patient to a mutual aid ambulance so they could be taken to a hospital.
