Southern Manatee Fire & Rescue was dispatched to 5900 Block of 15th Street East. As units pulled out of their station almost across the street a visible column of smoke was visible. Once on scene heavy smoke and fire was coming from the second floor of the end unit. A second Alarm was struck and companies starting laying in. Mutual aid from Cedar Hammock Fire & Rescue responded.
