GAINESVILLE, FL - Flatwoods Fire & Nature Festival drew hundreds to this annual event held in Gainesville. Over two dozen agencies and organizations participated. The highlight of the event is the three prescribed fires. There were tables full of fire prevention lectures, wildlife specialists and nature. Another highlight of the day was the narrated hayride through the scenic forest.
