At 6:02 am, the Limerick Fire Department was dispatched for a building fire at Camp Kweebec. Ladder 51, Engine 51, Tanker 51, Squad 51, Battalion Chief 51, and Fire Police responded. Also responding were Perkiomen Tanker 66 and Lower Frederick Ladder 52. Initial reports stated a cabin was on fire. Upon arrival, Battalion 51 found a fire on the porch. Crews from Ladder 52 arrived, immediately deployed a hose, and extinguished the fire. Crews from Tanker 66 assisted with ventilation and crews from 51 assisted with overhaul. Chief 51, Chief 52, and Battalion Chief 51 checked for extension. Once it was confirmed there were no extensions from the fire, crews cleaned up and were made available about an hour and a half later.
