Jumper Survives Fall from Newburgh-Beacon Bridge

NEWBURGH, NY - On the morning of June 15th, the City of Newburgh FD, along with Town of Newburgh and New York State Police, were notified that a male was in the Hudson River after he jumped off the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. As firefighters were getting ready to launch their boat, a nearby jet skier picked the subject up and brought him to shore. Town of Newburgh EMS was at the scene and transported the subject to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital. State and Town Police are investigating the incident.
