Queens Firefighters (FDNY) were busy Saturday afternoon with a 5th Alarm Transmitted for Box 7967 for a fire on the top floor of an occupied multiple dwelling at 41-40 Denman Street. The top floor fire spread to several apartments and the cockloft. A quick stop by New York’s Bravest kept the fire from spreading to the other wings of the H-type. Some 30 pieces of equipment and 100 firefighters battle the blaze. Several were injured thou the injuries are believed to be minor. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
