On May 26th, Parrish, North River, East Manatee, Manatee EMS, and Manatee Sheriffs responded to a working incident fire involving a golf cart (lithium batteries), a hydrid vehicle, and a fixed mobile home in a community. Crews were confronted with a large fire that turned into a stubborn attic fire which required extensive overhaul operations. The residents discovered the fire coming from the area of their charging golf cart. The front door was blocked by fire so the elderly couple climbed out the bedroom window to safety. Teamwork played a big factor in the success of this operation.
