Brookhaven NY- On Friday May 23, 2020 at about 5:36 PM the Brookhaven FD and South Country Ambulance were called for a motor vehicle crash on Montauk Highway near South Country Rd. Chief Of Department Peter DiPinto Jr was first to arrive on scene and advised he had negative entrapment but that there was a decent amount of clean up and speedy Dry needed. Assistant Chief Dan DiPinto arrived a short time later followed by Rescue 5-3-3. The crews went to work quickly putting down speedy dry and securing the vehicles.
South country ambulance checked out the occupants of the vehicles and treated atleast 1 person. The injured party was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic was diverted at the intersection while the emergency personnel operated on scene.
